Behind the Camera
Thank you for visiting my page. I'm Craig Vincent and the photographer behind Alluring Allusions. Coming out of landscapes, I started in fine-art photography in 2011. I fell in love with shadows and was quick to adopt dramatic, low-key portraiture as my main style. The beginning was strongly focused on black and white, however, over the years I couldn't help but drift into some color. I do still prefer black and white though.

Originally from Tacoma, WA, I've shot with many models back and forth across the Narrows, from Port Orchard to Olympia. At the end of 2017, life brought me to Houston and though these past few years haven't seen nearly the camera activity I had in WA, I'm finally able to get back into shooting.

I love the art of photography and the collaborative process behind it. One of its greatest strengths is that it doesn't have to be an individual art project. Similar to a book, it takes a story (the model) and a storyteller (photographer) and the results are from the collaboration. This is where I'm hoping to take my new portfolio. Finding models to stand in front of the camera is easy; finding models to create a story with seems to be harder. Admittedly I'm just beginning out on this storytelling journey, but hopefully, I'll find people who want to join me.

Most of my shooting is to showcase on my site and to sell as prints - selling prints is now generally my focus. I do occasionally shoot paid projects or exclusively for models to use themselves. If you're interested in hiring me for a project or you're hoping to shoot TF* please click the mail icon in the top corner or use the contact form on the site.

Models can use the link on the Welcome Page to find my Model Mayhem page where contact information can be found for previous models I've worked with to acquire references. Additionally, my professional career is a youth soccer coach - private, club & school - which has me continuously passing background checks to work with kids. References to my coaching clients can be provided as well.
